GPU usage per frame: 6 ms * 99.3% = 5.958 ms Only camera in game with fog and Enviro Sky GPU usage per frame: 17 ms * 86% = 14.62 ms It's very easy to calculate it: just multiple frame time (inverse of framerate) by the GPU utilization: Lastly, the GPU utilization: the way I like to look at it is how much GPU time it takes to render a frame. It's not limited to being used in the editor. Secondly, you should be able to enable the GPU profiler for the build too. When you're GPU bound, the frame rate in the build will often be lower than in the editor because the editor playmode window runs at lower resolution, whereas your game in build will run in fullscreen. Application.targetFrameRate to 60 -> Does not bring any improvement.Īlright, a few things to unpack here. Application.targetFrameRate to -1 -> Does not bring any improvement. I don't understand this difference either.ĭoes anyone have an idea where the problem is?īy the way, I use the Build-In Render Pipline. In a completely new scene with the same camera I get over 500 frames. What also surprises me is the low FPS value when I deactivate everything in the scene. GfxDeviceD3D11.WaitForQuerePresentToComplete - 22.84 msĪctually, 115,000 polys is a good measure for a 3D game for the PC. GfxDeviceD3D11.WaitForLastPresent - 22.65 ms TimeUpdate.WaitForLastPresentationAndUpdateTime - 22.65 ms In my build I get just over 20 frames.Īctually, according to what you see in the profiler, everything in the scene should be done after just over 20 ms. If I use the editor, I get just over 300 frames.

In my game scene I have 800 DC and 115,000 polys. I am now stuck with useless hardware until I get a decent fps from P3D v2.I have Unity version 2020.3.7.f1.

I appreciate all the kind help I can get as I have invested a HUGE amount of money trying to setup a Cessna simulator that would feel realistic.

I need help please, and I am willing to do whatever is needed through Teamviewer and setting up a camera to show the setup and what is going on.ĭoes anyone know of a professional company or expert who are willing to help for pay? With what hardware I have I thought I would be getting at least 30 fps at Ultra High Extreme settings! I am not getting anything remotely acceptable! I am not sure anything better for FSX or P3D can be setup.

I have motion using D-Box newest 6" actuator system which is pretty impressive.

FSX and P3D have three views defined and setup next to each other that project the 225 Deg view and warping is done through Immersive Calibration Pro and Immersive Display Pro. I have three BenQ projectors setup in AMD's Eyfinity projecting on a 225 deg cylindrical screen. This simulator is powered by a Z87K ASUS mother board with Intel i7 4790 processor running at 4.0 GHz, 16 Gb DDR3 2666 MHz RAM, Radeon R9 295 X2 graphics card and a 240 Gb Crucial SSD drive.

My system is a TRC 1000 based Cessna simulator complete with cabin, seating and all. Putting my setting to the lowest possible choice, I get 40 fps in P3d, but I would rather not fly at such settings. The airplane I am using is an F1 generic Cessna T182T. I don't have any add-on installed other than FSUIPC. The same setting in FSX produces a 10-12 fps rate! This is also unacceptable. Setting everything to extreme I get 2-4 fps while the airplane is sitting on the tarmac at London City Airport, cold & dark. I have posted this in the "Home→Forums→Prepar3D Application Support→Prepar3D Client Application Questions→READ ME FIRST] Rendering and Performance FAQ" sticky, but I feel I need to post again here since I am sure it is a hardware issues as well as some erroneous settings, or lack of.īefore I decided to write here I tried all the proposed "solutions" (listed in these forums) to the terrible frame rate I am getting with P3D v2.4.

Remember P3D is still 32 bit so it won't use more than 4G on the motherboard but when it comes to graphics intense applications, you can't have too much graphics card!! I was running a GTX 760 with 4G Ram with no problems. 2G is at the bottom end of where you should be with those addons. If your going to add additional textures and weather effects, your going to need more memory on your graphics card. i spent a whole evening playing about with the settings, but even with them at near enough rock bottom, still no progress, only if i switch to outside view, can i achieve 30/40 fps. Unfortunately this has been short lived for me, as after installing Orbx FTX Global, REX4 Texture Direct, Active Sky next, and the Airbus xtended by Areosoft, my fps are only averaging 12/15 and experiencing stuttering as if my set up if struggling, and when taking off and banking the plane i have even seen it drop down to six. Hi people, i was very much looking forward to the transition across from FSX.
